Lauren and I enjoyed the first full-fledged blizzard of our lives last week. It had the distinction of being the third-largest blizzard in recorded Chicago history. It was a piece of cake (and actually a lot of fun) from our point of view, but then again we had no car to dig out, no sidewalk to shovel, no utility outages, and no urgent need to leave the house.
We made the best of the evening in, watching the snowstorm, reading to each other, and sipping hot chocolate.
